Purpose
This CDS view is designed to provide a structured representation of country or region hierarchies, capturing essential details such as validity periods, last modification information, and associated textual descriptions. It serves as a master data dimension that can be utilized in analytical scenarios to understand and analyze hierarchical relationships between countries or regions. This CDS view provides the data to answer the following business questions: What are the hierarchical relationships between different countries or regions within the specified validity periods? When were the country or region hierarchies last updated, and by whom? What are the textual descriptions associated with each country or region hierarchy? How can the hierarchical data be integrated into analytical models for further business analysis? To help you decide which CDS view to use for your purposes, SAP has introduced the annotation ObjectModel.supportedCapabilities that indicates the most appropriate use cases for each CDS view.
